Born in the Caribbean, in the beautiful town of Ponce, Puerto Rico - a magic place full of tradition, color, and creative people where art was the center of it all - Joseph began the journey of shaping and defining his creative talent, first establishing himself as a stylist, earning many awards and recognition for his creativity and avant-garde vision while showcasing his work at many red carpet events, fashion shows, and in the pages of well-known fashion magazines.

Traveling the world - always studying and admiring jewels from the past and present - and like many of us, always looking for that special piece of jewelry that would be a personal expression of who he was, Joseph was motivated to take his passion for jewelry to another level and turned his creative focus to learning the craft from the bottom up.

After a long search for a mentor who understood his vision of making wearable art, Joseph found his match - the incredible master jeweler Jesus O'Campo, who understood and believed in Joseph's talent and had just established his first school in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Without hesitation, Joseph moved back to Puerto Rico, becoming Jesus' apprentice and first graduate from the now nationally acclaimed "Professional Art and Jewerly School".

Joseph studied organic jewelry design in Barcelona, Spain and also attended Parsons, the New School for Design, in Manhattan where he currently resides. He is a current member of the American Gem Trade Association.

Hence, the inspiration, motivation and creation of "JOSEPH DUKEMAN". The concept is HOT - "Bohemian Chic Meets Park Avenue" - and the mix is not only Outrageous - it's Contagious!
